"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)

Many of us have heard horror stories about the driving habits of some New Yorkers. One oft-repeated tale is about a man that was pulled over after driving the WRONG WAY on Madison Avenue, one of the busiest one-way streets in the city. When the pursuing officer approached the stopped driver, he asked, “Where do you think you are going?” The intoxicated driver replied, “Wherever it is, I must be late! Everyone else is coming back."

Apart from the aforementioned example, it's not always wrong to go in the opposite direction of the majority. Jesus said, "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are MANY who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are FEW who find it” (Matt. 7:13-14).
It has been said that the national anthem of hell is, “Everybody’s doing it!” 1 John 5:19 puts it this way, “…the WHOLE WORLD lies under the sway of the wicked one.”
Conversely, a popular t-shirt pictures a solitary fish swimming one way as a school of fish hurry in the opposite direction toward a baited hook. The caption reads, "Smart Fish Go Against the Flow." Spiritually speaking, that is correct. Luke 13:23-24 records, “Then one said to Him, "Lord, are there few who are saved?" And (Jesus) said to them, “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for MANY, I say to you, will seek to enter and will NOT be able.”
Although the narrow gate and difficult way are not easy or popular, may we stay on the less-traveled path that leads to eternal life in Heaven.
Jesus, always Jesus!
